Will give lectures on early modern culture in CLIT30B, 9:30-10:45am (Girvetz 1004).
Professor Rüdiger Campe (Yale University) and Professor John D. Lyons (University of Virginia) will give lectures on the question on "Fortune, Chance and Randomness in European literature from the Renaissance to Diderot" (the topic of CLIT30B this quarter). Their guest-lectures are open to all students and faculty, in addition to students enrolled in CLIT30B.
Professor Campe will talk on "The Game of Probability" on May 1, 9:30-10:45am, in Girvetz 1004.
Professor Lyons will talk on "Randomness, Fortune, and Faith in early modern France" on May 8, 9:30-10:45am, in Girvetz 1004.
