In addition to hosting distinguished visiting professors and its annual conference, the GCLR (Graduate Center for Literary Research) also actively supports graduate student writing and research by conducting roundtables for student work. These GCLR roundtable workshops, comprised of graduate students from across the humanities, offer selected graduate students a prime opportunity for extended feedback from an interdisciplinary perspective as well as possible support for conference travel.
The next roundtable is currently scheduled for Thursday, June 1. If you are interested in presenting, please send a 300-word abstract to JSchranck@umail.ucsb.edu (John Schranck, Graduate Student Coordinator) by Friday, May 26, 2017. Eligible papers will vary in form, content, and disciplinary approach; there are no strict parameters or themes, and works-in-progress, as well as dissertation chapters, will also be considered.
Thank you for your interest!
